Text scam – criminals are posing as us
We’re aware of dangerous scam texts claiming to be from us. These messages include a link to a fake website designed to steal your information and money. The scammer may even try to call you and direct you to this fake website.
We’ll never send you a text or email with a link that asks you to log in, download software, or use live chat. If you see one, it’s a scam.
Winter Fuel Payment scams
Scammers are using the government’s Winter Fuel Payment announcement to trick people into sharing personal and financial details through fake texts, emails, calls, or social media posts.
If you’re eligible for the payment, you’ll receive it automatically. You do not need to apply to claim it. If you believe you’ve been targeted with this scam and given your details away, contact us immediately.
Impersonation scams
